As one makes the journey through the chakras, there is a change of perceptions, an altering of awareness, an awakeness of spirit. It is not only about recognizing the energy of oneself, but realizing the energy of others and of our surroundings. Being in tune with what your body is saying speaks volumes as each chakra point tries to communicate with you if you are open to hear it and can understand its language.
There are many who strive to find an energetic balance in doing chakra work. It is not always easy as there are many emotional exchanges happening. The real journey seems to be the emotional one when a chakra becomes active. Throughout our lifetime we gain many experiences. Starting in childhood our perceptions become the base of our understanding. We perceive different lessons of pain, suffering, self-worth, acceptance, fear, friendships and love along with changing beliefs of one's own identity. With each emotional circumstance the body has the ability to harbor the feelings that may or may not be hidden from the conscious mind.
Each of the above energetic signatures can be contained within of the body which can cause a myriad of diseases and ailments. When the body is dis-eased due to traumas or attachments, the energy point can be seen as a dingy dull color. For someone who works in chakra healing, it may appear merely as a dim light or it may "look and feel" like thick mud. There is absolutely no vitality to this energy. Likewise, the physical body where the corresponding chakra is located, may illicit severe pain and discomfort.
When one is aware of the emotional ties to the energy points and works with the energy to heal that aspect, the chakra(s) glow and pulse a beautiful bright color. They expand and ascend reaching outward through the auric layers. The chakra itself is vibrant and vivid along with the emotional lightness that accompanies such a dynamic change. The vital energy simply and naturaly flows like water within the body as an unobstructed stream of energy. When one energy center is harmonized to a peaceful resolution, it becomes a step in total and complete harmoniziation. The goal is not only to clean and balance the chakras but to integrate our physical, mental and emotional selves in the process.

The Western world view seems to emphasize the upper chakra centers of the Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown, over the lower chakra centers of the Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus. The division between the upper and lower energy centers possilby stem from society's religious dogmas and condemnation to the physical-sexual aspects compared to the higher focus for attaining spiritual favor in Heaven. This is a result of societal mores that are slowly being adjusted.
The Heart chakra is the center and balance of our energetic body that touches both perceived halves of the chakra system. Although the energy body should be considered a whole, this area brings equilibrium to the upper and lower systems ultimately merging into a healthy balance. This is why the heart and head is often the key focus for spiritual development and typically is the first to be noticed and felt and subsequently worked with.
Our "new way" of thinking transforms our spiritualness into a complete and whole being. Thus we make all the chakra points important, joining mentally all of the chakra points and not merely 'excluding' the lower ones that can deal with our sexual nature. The meaning and depth of the lower chakras extends beyond the human perception of sexuality and is only part of the larger whole.

Balancing
So you ask, "How does
one become balanced?" After all, the entire goal is to have a clear
balanced energy system. There are two methods, and possibly more, to become
aware of the chakras. It is a matter of personal choice for people who do energy
work to visualize things differently. Some "see" colors
while others "feel" the energy at its point. Most often visualizing
takes place while in a meditative state. Meditation is a state where the mind
and body relax to allow our higher divine selves to communicate with us on a
conscious level. There is no set way to meditate and visualize these
energy fields. An individual needs to find what works for them. There is no
right or wrong way to visualize just as long as you do. The more you practice
the easier it will be to see and feel them.
Meditation and its techniques vary widely as people's opinions
so only meditation relating to the chakras will be presented here. This is
presupposing that one knows the "basic" meditative techniques.

Relationships
The chakras are mentioned separately in the previous section, however the real dynamics
occur when two people meet. Certain energy connections will appear that has to do with
their special relationship, karmic connections, mutual blockages and the mutual harmony of
love between them.
Each chakra consists of a concentration of
light vibrations. When people meet, these energies follow a pattern: Throat / Crown energy
points are mixed at the point of verbal and eye contact. The light/energy then flows
between them thus activating both the heart and the solar plexus chakras. Then finally
moving to the root chakra. From the spiritual dimensions, people look like shining
rainbows where the colors are changing and circling around in many different ways. The
united energy will behave in a very beautiful manner. It will begin to form a unit between
the two. The white light will circle the bodies in a figure eight pattern moving from the
top to bottom of each person. These vibrations are what make intuitive bonds with people.
You may resonate at the same frequency or even perhaps pull others up or down due to the
energy being emitted.
Mastery over the chakras enhances
health and development of the being. Once a person masters a particular level of
chakra they are ready for the next level. Certain gifts are awakened within the
individual. These gifts are usable within the frame of power and nature of the
harmony instilled by this form of self-development. Those who will abuse it will
be cut off and disengaged of their power and gifts. Upon the awareness of these
gifts there will be most likely hurdles and stumbling blocks. They are designed
to test your worthiness and responsibility of them and for you maximum capacity
to use them.

With great power comes
great responsibility. Those willing to harbor the responsibility are the
accentuated in the power. Those unable to harbor the responsibility will be
consumed by the power.

Eventually these gifts and powers within themselves will become stumbling blocks and one must transcend
and move onward into the journey of self awareness. There is a purpose in learning these energy centers but in the long run we will not need them. May this information demonstrate the connection we have to others and to the world and ongoing awareness of your own energy and personal power.
Peace, love and light be
with you on your soul's journey.
